Attaf holds working meeting with UN chief in New York
The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, who is on a working visit to New York, held a working meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Under the instructions of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf conveyed President Tebboune’s sincere greetings and best wishes to the UN secretary general, reiterating the president’s full support of his efforts to put an end to crises and establish security and stability.
Antonio Guterres replied that he was proud of the meetings he had with the president of the Republic and his concern for the strengthening of the UN’s role and multilateral action against the challenges facing the international community worldwide.
He highly commended the role of Algerian diplomacy in the restoration of stability in Libya and Mali, and its contributions to the meeting of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the region and throughout Africa.
