ALGIERS- Cartoonists from fifteen countries will participate in the 12th International Comic Strip Festival of Algiers (FIBDA), scheduled from 1 to 5 October, with the United States as the guest of honor,
announced Tuesday, in Algiers, the event’s organizers.
2019’s edition, devoted to the 9th art, will be marked by various activities held at Riadh El Feth Esplanade in Algiers, with the participation of 50 Algerian cartoonists and 42 foreigners.
In addition to USA which will be represented by 15 artists, this edition will see the participation of Belgium, Spain, Cuba and for the first time of Poland.
In this respect, a contest of “the best project” of the comic strip will be organized by the American stand which will give “the excellence prize” to the first winner, in addition to a trip to participate in the International Comic Strip Festival “Comic-Con” in San Diego in July 2020.
