ALGIERS- The tripartite (Algeria-Tunisia-Egypt) ministerial meeting on Libya has opened Monday in Algiers, as part of the continuous consultation between these three countries for a political solution to the Libyan crisis.
The new meeting, chaired by Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel and attended by Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui, will focus on the situation in this brotherly and neighbouring country.
The Foreign ministers will examine the recent developments in Libya, especially the political and security situation.
They will also explore ways and means to step up efforts of their countries to accelerate the process for the resolution of the crisis through dialogue and reconciliation.
Three similar meetings were held in Algiers in June 2017, in Cairo in November 2017 and in Tunis in December 2017.
