ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika sent Sunday a congratulation message to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, following the victory of France in the final of the World Football Cup in Russia.
“The brilliant victory snatched by the French football team by winning the 21st edition of the World Football Cup offers me the pleasant occasion to express, on behalf of the Algerian people and government and on my own behalf, our warm congratulations,” wrote President Bouteflika in his message.
“I wish also to convey my sincere feelings to the authors of this historic performance who have marked, through their exemplary courage and solidarity, all the stages of this World Cup,” underlined President Bouteflika.
“By demonstrating abnegation and generosity in the efforts throughout the tournament, the French team has methodically built its final success and logically made an achievement of which all football enthusiasts worldwide will be delighted,” added the Head of State in his message.
