Sonatrach, Turkish Renaissance seal three contracts for development of polypropylene production project

ALGIERS-Sonatrach Group and the Turkish Company “Renaissance” have signed three contracts for the development of the petrochemical project of polypropylene production in the city of Ceyhan (Turkey),
in the presence of the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Sonatrach said Saturday in a press release.
“The CEO of Sonatrach Group, Toufik Hekkar participated in the signing ceremony of three (03) contracts for the development of the petrochemical project for the production of polypropylene in the city of Ceyhan,” the statement said.
The first contract relates to the implementation of all stages of the EPCC project (engineering, equipment, construction and commissioning).
The second contract concerns the periodic maintenance work of materials and equipment while the third relates to sales and marketing services, said Sonatrach.
“The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Ministers of Industry and Transport, Executive Directors of the Turkish Company Renaissance, partner of Sonatrach, as well as representatives of the signatory parties and the Algerian Embassy in Turkey,” Sonatrach said.
The signing of these contracts is the culmination of two years of work and continuous negotiations. It is a major step in the process of seeking international financing for this strategic project.
