Sonatrach, India’s LTHE sign deal on operation of south-west gas fields

ALGIERS – Group Sonatrach has signed on Monday in Algiers a contract with the Indian company “Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited India” (LTHE) on the operation of gas fields in the Algerian South-West.
This contract in Engineering, Procurement and Construction on the development of gas fields in Hassi Ba Hamou and Reg Mouaded, Hassi Tidjerane and Hassi Tidjerane west, Tinerkouk and Tinerkouk west consists in the construction of three new stations of gas treatment and compression, in order to ensure a daily gas production of 11 million cubic meters per day (m3/ day).
The gas produced from these stations will be injected in the future pipeline GR7 of network TRC.
Besides, the $122 billion contract will maximize the concept of modularization, using standardized modules (transportable equipment), is entrusted to the company Larsen & Toubro “LTHE Limited.”
The delivery is scheduled for June 2024.
The scope of services and supplies for this EPC contract will include, but is not limited to, detailed engineering studies, procurement and delivery of the Supply, and on-site construction and assembly.
These fields are located in the southwest of Algeria in three provinces namely Adrar, Ghardaia and El Bayadh.
Future gas treatment and compression facilities will be located in Adrar, due to the concentration of deposits in this region.
