ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika extended, Monday, his “congratulations” to his French counterpart, François Hollande for the success of the Global conference on Climate Change (COP21).
“I have closely followed the perseverant efforts made by France, under your leadership, in order to meet the conditions for the success of the COP21 whose successful outcome was the overcoming of many challenges and the conciliation of so many competing antagonists,” underlined President Bouteflika in his message.
“I have also taken note of the smart and consensual manner with which your Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius conducted impressive consultations and a laborious process of negotiations to facilitate the eminently positive result of the COP21,” wrote Bouteflika.
“I also know that your Government is fully mobilized for this purpose with remarkable efficiency, in a burst of communicative enthusiasm of which I perceived the intensity by receiving Minister Segolene Royal,” he continued.
“For all the personal, national and international raisons of which you can easily appreciate the motivations, I would like to offer you my warmest congratulations for this invaluable contribution of France and especially yours, to a beneficent work and of historical significance aimed at giving humanity the means to control its destiny in the face of the existential challenge of climate change,” said the Head of State.
