ORAN (Algeria)- Italian cyclist of Emirates’ Nasr-Dubai Club, Luca Wackerman, won Monday the third and last stage of the International Cycling Tour of Oran, one of the events of the Grand Tour of Algeria (GTAC 2016), snatching the leader’s yellow jersey.
The Italian clocked 3:29:50, ahead of his teammate Moroccan Essaid Abdelouache (3:30:51) and Algerian Abdelkader Belmokhtar (3:30:54).
The cyclists of United Arab Emirates’ Nasr-Dubai Club confirmed, once again, their supremacy during the eight-kilometre ascent of Santa Cruz.
The third and last stage of International Tour of Oran (432-km west of Algiers) was marked by attack attempts from the cyclists of the Algerian national team.
The participants at the Grand Tour of Algeria will compete Tuesday in the Grand prix of Oran, the third event of the GTAC 2016.
