Minister Attaf receives a phone call from his British counterpart
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received on Wednesday a phone call from the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Lammy.
The two ministers discussed Algeria-United Kingdom relations as well as the regional and international issues of common interest.
The two countries hailed the exceptional level of bilateral relations, notably in trade and investment” and agreed to maintain the increased momentum of bilateral cooperation through concrete actions, primarily the upcoming 3rd strategic dialogue session in Algiers co-chaired by both countries’ FMs.
As for the political side, the two officials exchanged points of views and analysed the developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Palestine’s neighbouring countries, emphasizing that permanent ceasefire in Gaza is the basis of any move towards de-escalation in the Middle East.
The two parties reviewed the political and security developments in the Sahel-Sahara region and discussed ways to reinforce peace, security and development in the region.
