ALGIERS – Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel has been received on Monday in Jeddah by Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
During the meeting, the minister transmitted a message of esteem and fraternity from President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, sent to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, said a communiqué of the Foreign Ministry.
Messahel has also transmitted to Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz a message from the President of the Republic, reiterating his congratulations on his designation as Crown Prince.
In this regard, Messahel “broached the meetings he had (on Sunday) with his counterpart Adel Al-Jubeir, and which mainly focused on the situations of crisis and conflicts in the Arab world, notably in Libya, Syria Yemen and in the Gulf, as well as the challenges of terrorism and violent extremism faced by the Arab states and which require coordinated action,” added communiqué.
“The Crown Prince thanked the foreign minister for the message President of the Republic and entrusted him to convey his feelings of appreciation and fraternity and his wishes of progress to the Algerian people,” added the same source.
“The Crown Prince welcomed the quality of the relation between Algeria and Saudi Arabia, and expressed his readiness to foster this relation, through the development of trade and investments in all the fields in a view to establish a relation of exception.”
The meeting was attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir.
