ALGIERS- Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel will pay on 28 – 29 January a working visit to Washington, in the United States.
Messahel who will lead a large sectoral delegation will co-chair with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, the 4th Algerian-US Strategic Dialogue, said the ministry in a communiqué.
The talks will concern the various files of cooperation between Algeria and the US, as well as the prospects of its development.
The two ministers will also the regional and international questions of common-interest.
During his visit to Washington, the foreign minister will hold discussions with members of the US Congress.
Messahel will also make a presentation at the Centre for the Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on the fight against terrorism and national reconciliation.
The Algerian foreign minister will also will with representatives of the national community residing in the U.S.
Created in 2012, as part the high-level cooperation, le Algerian-US Strategic Dialogue “reflects the excellent relations between Algeria and the US and illustrates both countries’ willingness to work reinforce and diversify them further,” added.
