ALGIERS- Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel and his Iraqi counterpart, Ibrahim El Djaafari, stressed Tuesday, in Cairo, Egypt, the “depth of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries,
” the ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
At a meeting held on the sidelines of the 150th ordinary session of the Arab League Foreign Ministers Council, in Cairo, the two sides tackled the bilateral relations and “ways to develop them.”
The Iraqi minister invited Messahel to visit Baghdad, the statement said, adding that the Algerian Foreign Minister welcomed the invitation which is likely to “boost the unique and strong relations between the two countries.”
