NEW YORK-Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra held on Saturday talks with Chinese Foreign Minister, State Councilor Wang Yi, within the framework of his activity under the high-level
segment of the UN General Assembly.
On this occasion, the two ministers reviewed the state of friendship and partnership relations between the two countries, whose sixtieth anniversary will be celebrated this year by the two parties.
They also exchanged views on the worrying situation the world is going through, in light of the Ukrainian crisis and international relations’ tensions.
In this regard, the two officials reaffirmed “their determination to intensify cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative for the realization of major national projects initiated by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune and which are likely to boost the national economy, while pursuing the diplomatic action, in accordance with the principle of mutual assistance and mutual support, particularly when it comes to fundamental issues and interests for each of the two countries.”
