Hossam Zaki hails Algeria’s great efforts to ensure success of Arab Summit

ALGIERS-The Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki, hailed Wednesday in Algiers, the efforts made by Algeria and the means it has mobilized to ensure the success of the Arab Summit, expressing his thanks to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his high sponsorship of this meeting.
Speaking at the opening session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates and senior officials, in anticipation of the meeting of foreign ministers preparatory to the 31st session of the Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in Algiers on 1 and 2 November, Hossam Zaki said that the Arab League appreciates the effort made by Algeria.
“Algeria has made a great commendable effort worthy of praise for which we must thank the Algerian state on behalf of the members of the General Secretariat of the Arab League. We would like to express our gratitude to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his high patronage of this event,” he said.
The Assistant SG of the Arab League also welcomed “the ability of Algeria to respond to multiple requests for the holding of the 1st “zero paper” Arab Summit and its willingness to hold a modern summit in tune with new technologies that help promote the Arab League to the rank of prestigious organizations, at the service of Arab peoples and countries.”
The meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates and senior officials in preparation for the meeting of foreign ministers to the 31st session of the Arab Summit began earlier today.
The draft agenda of the work of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit level will be adopted at this meeting.
On Thursday, the senior officials of the Economic and Social Council will hold a preparatory meeting for the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit level.
Friday will be devoted to the meeting of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level, followed on 29-30 October, by the meeting of foreign ministers.
