Gaïd Salah pursues official visit to UAE

ALGIERS- Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaïd Salah, Vice-minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP) pursued Monday his official visit to the United Arab Emirates,
at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces, said the National Defence Ministry (MDN) in a communiqué.
On the third day of his visit to the UAE, the Chief of Staff has been received by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, minister of presidential affairs, to which “he has transmitted the greetings of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Supreme Chief of Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, works to consolidate the cooperation relations,” said the source.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah emphasized the “significant progress made in the Algerian-Emirati relations in several levels,” the source added.
Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed al Nahyan reaffirmed the “solid relations between the two countries and the need for reinforcing them.”
At the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces, the Lt General has been received by Lt General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the UAE.
Ahmed Gaid Salah who has been saluted by a detachment of the UAE Armed Forces had a working meeting with Lt General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi. He expressed
“satisfaction with the level of the military cooperation between the two countries, through a comprehensive and objective evaluation of this cooperation, notably in the field of the military industry,” added the source.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the UAE has “reaffirmed the need to consolidate the bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ armies,” added the MDN.
The Lt General was also received by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to whom “he renewed the wishes and greetings of his Excellency President of Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence on the occasion of the UAE National Day.”
