BALI (Indonesia)- Finance Minister Abderrahmane Raouya has stressed Algerian in Bali, Indonesia, government’s will and commitment to continuing the structural economic reforms aiming at improving the institutional
framework and directing the available resources to economic development.
The minister made the statement at one of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), being held until October 14 in Bali.
After shedding light on Algeria’s economic situation and prospects, Raouya cited some of the structuring projects underway, and which are due to have a positive impact on Algerian economy.
“Efforts are still being made,” the minister said, for a better tax collection, the fight against tax evasion and avoidance, the improvement of the investment climate.
He added that Algeria has set up the appropriate mechanisms to include the informal sector and diversify banking products for more financial inclusion.
The plenary meetings were opened by President Joko Widodo of Indonesia, the host country, with the participation of several Asian heads of state and government.
