President of State of Palestine arrives in Algiers

ALGIERS-President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, has arrived Sunday afternoon in Algiers under a three-day state visit to Algeria.
President Abbas was welcomed upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Palestinian head of state was also welcomed by Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House), Salah Goudjil, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House), Brahim Boughali, President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aimene Benabderrahmane, Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, and members of the Government.
The two presidents listened to the national anthems of the two countries and hailed a detachment of the Republican Guard which paid them honors.
In the Hall of Honor, the reception ceremony was attended by members of the governments of both countries, as well as by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria.
