APS : THURSDAY 14 JANUARY 2021

NOUAKCHOTT (Mauritania) – The quality of work carried out by the Algerian medical mission, dispatched early January to Mauritania by the Algerian government, was praised in Nouakchott,
at a working meeting co-chaired by Algeria’s ambassador and the Mauritanian minister of Health.
The working meeting with the Algerian delegation, arrived on January 4, took place last Tuesday at the National Institute of Hepato-virology of Nouakchott, in the presence of the hospital staff, Health ministry’s officials and the coordinator of the Algerian mission, Dr. Mohamed Islam Soualhi.
The meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the quality of the work done so far by the Algerian mission, who has gone beyond the medical framework.
The aim is to extend the training of Mauritanian doctors and paramedics in many areas, particularly in the management of hospital pharmacies’ stocks and the rational use of medicines and appliances.
The Algerian ambassador to Nouakchott, Nour Eddine Khendoudi, said the donation of medicines of 4 January 2021 is the third batch of its kind after those of June and December 2020.
“Algeria has always been in solidarity with Mauritania, and will continue to be in the future.”
