Over 300 participants at 6th African Cyber Security Summit in Oran

ORAN- More than 300 participants representing Algerian and African institutions and companies are expected at the sixth African Cyber Security Summit, due to be held in Oran (431-km west of Algiers) from 3 to 5 April,
said Wednesday the organizers.
The Summit will comprise conferences, round tables and workshops, as well as B-to-B meetings, said Sonia Akli, in charge of communication at XCOM Agency, the event’s organizer.
The Summit, to be held under the theme “A Secure Digital Africa,” will bring together all decision-makers in all sectors and the world’s leading cyber security solution developers, she added.
Privacy protection, cybercrime, data protection, cyber security, protection of national sovereignty, e-payment and development of African cooperation are among the main subthemes that will be debated during the three-day event.
The Summit will be also marked by the participation of delegations from major foreign institutions and companies from Tunisia, Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Gabon, Niger, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, France, Belgium, Croatia and Canada.
It will be also an opportunity to present the results of 2018 Cyber Security Barometer of Algerian institutions and companies, she added.
