Ould Khelifa receives President of French Court of Auditors

ALGIERS- Speaker of People’s National Assembly (Lower House- APN) Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa received Wednesday President of the French Court of Auditors Didier Migaud, accompanied by a delegation led by French ambassador to Algiers, Bernard Emié, said a communiqué of the Lower House.
Algeria and France “work, based on their relations of exception, to achieve common interests at the political and economic levels,” said Ould Khelifa during the discussions, recalling that Algeria and France are linked by a strong cooperation in the parliamentary field through the High Parliamentary Commission.”
Mentioning the important role of Algerian Court of Auditors in the preservation of the national economy, as one of the main bodies of monitoring the public expenses, Ould Khelifa said that the twinning between the Algerian institution and its French counterpart should open “wide prospects of cooperation and allow sharing experiences.”
For the president of the French Court of Auditors, Didier Migaud, the twinning is meant to be an “ambitious programme and an occasion to consolidate cooperation between the two countries in further fields” highlighting the importance of close cooperation between the Court of Auditors and the parliamentarian institutions to reduce the gap between politicians and finance officials.”
