DUBAI (United Arab Emirates)- Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel received Monday the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit Award (political category) in Dubai, where he was attending the Arab social media
influencers summit, held in Dubai, UAE, under the high patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy President of the United Arab Emirates and chairman of the Council of Ministers and Governors of Dubai.
The minister, in a statement to Algerian TV and APS at the end of the awarding ceremony, expressed his “thanks” and “gratitude” to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the “sponsoring of the event, considered as of the major media events in the region and the Arab world.”
He also thanked the organizers, and especially Professor Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the chairwoman of “Dubai Press Club,” for the award which “reflects Algeria’s efforts in encouraging communication and in responding to the requirement of modern diplomatic actions, especially by using social media.
“I dedicate this award to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Algerian foreign policy chief, who has taught and shown us how to put the diplomatic tool at the service of the supreme interests of the nation.”
Messahel emphasized the president’s “efforts and far-sighted guidelines” thanks to which “Algerian diplomacy is awarded and has become of an ever-growing interest.”
