Malian FM highlights Algeria's efforts to implement peace agreement in Mali

ALGIERS- Malian minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Kamissa Camara highlighted Sunday the efforts made by Algeria to implement the peace and reconciliation agreement in Mali.
“We discussed the bilateral relations and all the efforts Algeria has provided to help Mali to implement the peace and reconciliation agreement,” she said after talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.
Camara said that “the two countries share “historical, family and fraternal relations.
We must assess the present and talk about the future,” she added.
Lamamra said that Algeria and Mali are bound by “a great common destiny, a neighbourhood spanning to centuries and a very active solidarity.”
In this respect, he stressed the unique quality between the two countries’ ministers, noting that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Ibrahim Boubacar Keita “are very close to each others and both committed to Pan-Africanism.”
Lamamra broached the different mechanisms bewteen both countries, namely the high joint commission co-chaired by the two Prime ministers which constitutes “the control tower” of these relations.
Moreover, Lamamra said that the African heads of State and Government attach importance to youth, “being truly a key player in sustainable development.”
“We are working for young people,” he concluded.
