Lamamra received, in Addis-Ababa, by Ethiopian President

ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra was received, in Addis Ababa, by Ethiopia’s President Sahle-Work Zewde, the ministry said Tuesday in a statement.

“Lamamra conveyed to Zewde the fraternal greetings of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune as well as his warmest congratulations on the occasion of the investiture of the new Ethiopian government,” said the source.

For his part, Ethiopia’s President welcomed the “remarkable Algerian participation to the investiture ceremony of the new Ethiopian government,” reaffirming “her country’s commitment to the strategic partnership with Algeria, while strengthening the bilateral cooperation in several vital fields.”

The meeting was an opportunity to “review the new developments in the region and the Horn of Africa as well as prospects to overcome the challenges related to peace, security and stability, in addition to important topical issues at the continental level.”

Lamamra represented on Monday, in Addis Ababa, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the investiture ceremony of the new Ethiopian Government at the official invitation of the Ethiopian top authorities to President of the Republic, in enshrinement of the close bilateral relations and implementation of the common willing of the two countries’ leaders to establish an inclusive strategy meeting the two sides’ aspirations.
