Independence Day: President of Arab Parliament congratulates Algerian people

ALGIERS- The head of the Arab Parliament Adel Ben Abderrahmane Al-Assoumi congratulated the Algerian people on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of Algeria’s independence, affirming that the 5th of July
of each year constitutes “a noble national event which strengthens the national unity and enshrines the feeling of belonging to the homeland.”
“Al Assoumi congratulated the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune as well as the Government, Algerian people and parliament, on the occasion of the Day of Independence, celebrated on 5 July of each year,” according to the message of congratulations.
The head of the Arab Parliament also underlined the Day of Independence in Algeria “is a noble event which strengthens the national unity and the feeling of belonging to the country, a day when we remember the valiant sacrifices made by the martyrs, among the children of the Algerian people, during their honorable struggle against colonialism, in order to regain freedom and independence.”
Al-Assoumi expressed “his sincere congratulations on this national occasion, praying Allah Almighty to surround Algeria and its people with security and stability and full prosperity to achieve development and progress under the leadership of President Tebboune.”
