23 Algerian exporters at World Food Moscow exhibition

MOSCOW – Twenty-three Algerian agri-food companies are taking part in the 26th World Food Moscow International Food Exhibition, which is open Monday with the participation of exporters from more than 65 countries.
During the four-day economic and trade event (11 to 14 September), the Algerian exporters will have to confirm and execute the measures decided during the previous edition with the Russian operators.
Following the official opening of the exhibition, Algeria’s ambassador to Moscow, Smail Allaoua toured the Algerian pavilion where he had long discussions with the Algerian operators about the great opportunities offered by the Russian market. Allaoua assured them of the willingness of the Embassy services to accompany them in their projects.
At the 26th Moscow Food and Agriculture Exhibition, “it will also be necessary to give practical impetus to the dynamics of the Algerian-Russian bilateral relations…,” the representative of the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (ALGEX) Ali Ayad told APS.
Besides the traditional exporters of the Algerian date – highly appreciated by Russian consumers – Algeria pavilion (450 m² against 300 m² last year) also includes Algerian exhibitors of Fruits and Vegetables (Agri Plast ), pasta and traditional couscous (Frikat) and dried fruit (Dydo) … etc.
Algeria is participating for the second time at the Agri-Food Exhibition in Moscow. Last year, more than 20 Algerian exporters of agro-food products were present, with the aim o gaining access to the Russian market, through the promotion of the Algerian label with the many foreign partners.
