Forum on China-Africa Cooperation: Messahel leads Algerian delegation to 7th ministerial conference

BEIJING- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel took part Sunday, in Beijing, in the 7th ministerial conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
The conference was chaired by South-African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu and Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.
This conference, which recorded the participation of ministerial delegations, was the opportunity for the African countries and China to assess the implementation of the cooperation programmes of the previous meetings of the Chinese-African cooperation, notably the 2nd Summit of Johannesburg, held in December 2015.
The African ministers welcomed the implementation of the cooperation actions agreed upon between Africa and China by renewing their commitment to continuing this cooperation and further strengthening it for the benefit to the two sides.
They also emphasized the importance for this cooperation to meet the expectations of the African States, notably in the light of the African Union’s 2063 Agenda which constitutes the recipient of all the development work of Africa.
The ministerial conference adopted the projects of Beijing declaration and the action plan 2019-2021 that will be submitted to the Summit of Heads of State and Government whose works will kick off on Monday and will last two days.
