ALGIERS-Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum, who is on a visit to Ankara, on Tuesday held talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, during which he discussed the prospects of bilateral relations, said the Ministry of Foreign Ministry
in a communiqué.
“These talks allowed the two ministers to have an in-depth exchange on the state and prospects of bilateral relations. In this regard, they welcomed the dynamic that characterizes bilateral ties, and stressed the commitment of both countries to further diversify them by exploiting all the potentialities and opportunities offered to promote a broad partnership between the two countries,” said the same source.
Both FMs seized “this opportunity to continue political dialogue on regional and international issues of common interest.”
The issue of the situation in Libya was raised and the two FMs stressed the need for a political solution based on dialogue and reconciliation between all Libyans, free from any foreign interference, as the only way to preserve the unity and integrity of Libya.”
“Both parties also discussed the situation in Mali and stressed the need to support this brotherly and neighboring country in the difficult period it is going through,” said the source.
Following the meeting, the two ministers “agreed to continue their joint efforts to develop bilateral relations and political dialogue between Algeria and Turkey,” concluded the ministry.
