ABU DHABI (UAE)- Minister of Industry and Mining Abdesselam Bouchouareb hailed Monday the outcomes of the first Algerian-Emirati Business Forum, held Sunday in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, adding that another meeting will take place in Algiers to finalize the partnership projects.
In a statement to APS at the end of his visit to the Emirati capital, Bouchouareb said that the Forum allowed the two countries to confirm the relation of trust linking them, through the identification of potential areas of partnership.
“We did not come here only to sign agreements but also to identify other investment opportunities between the two countries,” he explained, adding “we have reached very advanced discussions.”
In this regard, the minister said that the two sides are in “advanced discussions” for the launch of common projects in Algeria, as soon as possible, in the sectors of steel and iron industry, agriculture and renewable energies.”
The two sides agreed to hold another meeting in Algiers, but no date has been set yet, he said.
“The Emiratis promised that a large delegation will pay a visit to Algeria to achieve the projects under discussion, or to advance further in these partnerships,” added the minister.
To that end, Algeria and the UAE committed to creating the best conditions possible to “give new impulse to their economic cooperation, through concrete and mutually beneficial projects,” said Bouchouareb.
