Algerian, Gabonese chambers of commerce ink agreement

LIBREVILLE (GABON)- A partnership agreement has been signed in Libreville, Gabon, between Algerian and Gabonese chambers of trade and industry, aiming at boosting economic cooperation between the two countries.
The signing ceremony was held on the sidelines of a special trade show for Algerian products (November 27 – December 2) in the Gabonese capital.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the secretary general of the Algerian ministry of Trade, Cherif Omari, who is leading the Algerian delegation to the economic event, and the chairman of the Gabonese chamber of commerce, Jean-Baptiste Bikalou.
Bikalou expressed his country’s wish to deepen economic relations between the two countries in different sectors.
He also wished to get reinforced Algeria’s training of young Gabonese in different fields.
Omari said the agreement’s signing will strengthen business links for economic diversification in both countries.
“We have discussed with a Gabonese operator the possibility of organizing a trade fair over an area of 3,000 m² devoted to Algerian companies, allowing them to display and market their products throughout the year.”
