Algeria also reiterated its determination to “continue its determined fight against terrorism, violent extremism and radicalisation, as well as against organized cross-border crime and drug and human trafficking which are interconnected ,” while affirming that it also attacked the causes of these scourges “contributing thus to the stabilisation of the region.”
The Algerian delegation seized this opportunity to reiterate Algeria’s “major concern” about the decision of the American administration to recognize Al Quds as the capital of Israel, before warning the participants of the “consequences of such a violation on the peace process, which is at the standstill, and its serious threats on the peace, security and stability of the region.”
The 24th OSCE ministerial council wrapped up after two day of debates focused on ways to resolve the conflicts and deal with the risks and threats facing the member countries, such as terrorism, organized international crime, drug trafficking, illegal immigration and human trafficking.
