Algeria firmly condemns terror attack on tourist bus in Egypt

ALGIERS – Foreign Ministry has firmly condemned on Saturday the terrorist attack committed on Friday on a bus carrying tourists in the Marioteya district,
near Giza governorate (Egypt), claiming the life of 4 people and injuring 11 others.
“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack committed Friday evening against a bus of tourists in the Marioteya district, near Giza Egypt,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdelaziz Benali Cherif.
“In the moment when we pay tribute to the victims of this cowardly act of terrorism, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and express our solidarity with the Egyptian government and with the Vietnamese government,” added the spokesman.
“We also renew our support to the Egyptian Republic which is facing the terrorist threat which may not under any circumstances undermine its security, stability and the unity of its people, and we thus stress the need for the international community to combine its efforts to eradicate this abject scourge,” said the official.
An explosion occurred in the late afternoon in Al-Marioteya neighborhood in Giza, killing 4 people including 3 Vietnamese tourists and injured 11 others.
