Concert on the occasion of the International Day of Living Together
On the occasion of May 16th, the International Day of Living Together in Peace, the Embassy of Algeria in Sofia organized, in collaboration with the Bulgaria-Algeria Friendship Association, a concert of folk, classical and modern music.
Mr. Slimane Belhaddad, Chargé d’Affaires ai, made an opening speech in which he recalled that the UN General-Assembly adopted a resolution in 2017, on the initiative of Algeria, declaring May 16th International Day of Living Together in Peace. Also, he welcomed the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that bind Algeria and Bulgaria. Mr. Ivan Stefanov, President of the Algerian-Bulgarian Friendship Association, delivered a short speech, seizing the opportunity to wish all Muslims a very good month of Ramadan.
This cultural event, which brought together a diverse audience of diplomats, journalists, academics, members of the Algerian community and friends of Algeria, was a true celebration of the living together in peace and the friendship between Algeria and Bulgaria.
