Chanegriha at 9th Moscow Conference on International Security

ALGIERS- Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of the Staff of the People’s National Army is taking part in the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security and whose works opened Wednesday in Moscow, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.

Russia’s President Vladimir Poutine gave the start of the works of the Conference, held by video conference, and to which took part ministers of Defense, chiefs of staff and experts in security issues representing 109 countries.

“The strategic stability…. Changes and prospects,” “the Asian region in the general political context,” “the role of the military institutions in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic,” “ Information security…issues and solutions,” “the technical military cooperation between Russia and African and Middle Eastern countries,” “the military cooperation as tool to face challenges and threats in Latin America” and “the security In Europe…. Reality and prospects,” are the themes included in the agenda of the conference.

On the occasion of his participation in this conference, Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha held discussions with Russian Minister of Defense General Shoigou Sergei Koujouguévitch, in the presence of members of the Algerian delegation and Dimitri Chougaev, co-chairman of the Algerian-Russian Government Commission for Military and Technical Cooperation and of director general of the company “ROSOBORONEXPORT” on the Russian side, added the source.

The discussions focused on the “state of the military and technical cooperation between the two countries and the prospects of its development.”
