ALGIERS – The National oil company Sonatrach will continue to place partnership with foreign companies, seeking to invest in Algeria, in the centre of its development strategy, said CEO Rachid Hachichi.
In a letter to Sonatrach personnel, on the occasion of the International Workers Day, Hachichi said that partnership constituted a “historic and strategic” option for the group.
“Our group will continue to develop its partnership relations with the international companies seeking to invest in Algeria. Partnership which constitutes a historical and strategic option to our group, is a major segment in our development strategy, in particular the field of exploration and production,” he added.
According to Hachichi, Group Sonatrach “will continue to reinforce partnership relations, based on the mutual respect, in order to improve its capacities of hydrocarbon finding and Onshore and Offshore exploitation.”
Hachichi who took office as Sonatrach CEO on 24 April said that he is committed to “continue to work for development of Sonatrach, which has always contributed to the country’s economic and social development.”
