(English) President Tebboune exchanges views with AFRICOM Commander

ALGIERS- Commander of US Africa Command “AFRICOM” General Michael Langley said Wednesday, in Algiers, he had, with President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of the National Defense
Abdelmadjid Tebboune, an exchange views which will constitute a “sound basis to work together.”

In a statement to the press following the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, General Michael Langley said he is pleased with this fruitful meeting with the President of the Republic, underlining that the exchange focused on the cooperation and our relations with our partners in order to further strengthen and consolidate them, notably in view of Algeria’s experience in terms of the fight against terrorism.

“We have also exchanged views that will constitute a sound basis to work together and to move forward,” he added.

The audience took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Said Chanegriha, Principal Private Secretary to the Presidency of the Republic Abdelaziz Khellaf, adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense and Security Affairs Boumediene Benattou, as well as US ambassador to Algeria Elizabeth Moore Aubin.
