Ould Khelifa holds talks with Angola's Vice President, Qatari Deputy PM

ALGIERS-Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa held talks in Margarita (Venezuela) with Angola’s Vice-President Manuel Domingos Vicente and Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, announced the Assembly in a communiqué.
On the sidelines of the 17th Summit of the Non-Aligned Countries, Speaker of the ANP received Angola’s Vice-President, with whom he broached “historical ties between the two countries,” the same source stated.
According to the same source, the Angolan official hailed “Algeria’s key role for the independence of Angola.”
Besides, Manuel Domingos Vicente paid a special tribute to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika for the support he shows, in all international events, for the self-determination of the Angolan people,” stressing that Algeria “contributed to the independence of many African countries and the Continent stability and development,” the communiqué said.
Both officials underscored the need to work together to ensure stability of the hydrocarbon market and strengthen State’s rights to offer well-being to their people,” the same source added.
For his part, the Qatari official hailed Algeria’s efficient and avant-garde role in the development of Arab countries, highlighting his countries’ full readiness to consolidate cooperation with Algeria in the areas of politics, diplomacy, economy and trade for the best mutual interest of the Algerian and Qatari peoples,” the Assembly concluded.
17th NAM Summit: Ould Khelifa received by President Hassan Rohani
MARGARITA (Venezuela)- The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa was received Sunday, in Venezuela, by Iranian President Hassan Rohani with whom he broached the unstable regional situation and the international hydrocarbon market which “requires new consensus” to ensure the equilibrium of oil market and stability of prices.
As part of his participation as representative of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika at the 17th Non-Aligned Movement Summit (NAM) in Margarita (Venezuela), Ould Khelifa was received on the sidelines of the works by Iranian President with whom he broached “the current regional situation marked by the instability and which calls for the respect of the State’s sovereignty to achieve international security and peace.”
The two sides also broached the situation of the international hydrocarbon market which “requires the implementation of new consensus culminating in the equilibrium of the market and stability of oil prices by being fair for the producer and consumer and allowing meeting the peoples’ aspirations to development.”
For his part, Rohani affirmed that “Iran, for its part, and Algeria under the governance of his Excellency President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika work seriously for the strengthening of their exceptional and strong long-standing relations at the political level through the boosting of the economic, financial and scientific interactivity between the two countries.”
