ALGIERS- Minister of Industry and Mining Youcef Yousfi signed on Tuesday, on behalf of the President of the Republic, the condolence book at the Burkina Faso embassy in Algiers, following the terrorist attack that recently targeted a restaurant in Ouagadougou.
“The Algerian people and government learned with grief the news of the terrorist attack that targeted the administrative center of Ouagadougou on 13 August 2017, resulting in several deaths and injuries including two Algerian nationals,” Yousfi wrote on the condolence book.
“In this painful circumstance, we share your pain and extend on behalf of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika the Algerian government and people our sincere condolences to the families of the victims, while wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded,” added Yousfi.
“Algeria strongly condemns this despicable criminal act and reaffirms its solidarity with the people of Burkina Faso. This vile act confirms our belief that the fight against terrorism requires more cooperation and combined efforts at the continental and international levels.”
