Messahel conveys message from President Bouteflika to Malian counterpart

BAMAKO- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel, bearer of a message from President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, was received Tuesday in Bamako by Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta.
Messahel conveyed to President Keita fraternity and solidarity message from President Bouteflika through which the Head of State “reiterates his personal commitment and that of Algeria to strengthening the bilateral relations and completing the stabilization process and total return of security and development to Mali.”
Malian President expressed, once again, his “deep gratitude and sincere thanks to President Bouteflika, emphasizing his personal commitment and relentless efforts to accompany the Malians to achieve stabilization and socio-economic development.”
He also underlined his satisfaction at the quality of the bilateral relations and the significant progress achieved in various cooperation fields. He also welcomed the achievements as part of the implementation of the Agreement for peace and reconciliation in Mali, stemmed from Algiers Process, whose third anniversary was celebrated on May 15th in an atmosphere marked by the determination of the Malian players to move forward and continue their joint efforts to fully implement it in order to restore stability and security in Mali and region.
For his part, Messahel pointed out Algeria’s commitment to the development of the bilateral cooperation, regular consultations with Mali and the continuation of efforts aimed at facing the common challenges in the region, notably terrorism, organized crime and illegal immigration.
In this regard, he said that the holding, on May 29th, of the 13th Algerian-Malian Strategic Bilateral Committee that he will chair with his Malian counterpart Tieman Hubert Coulibaly will come to strengthen this dialogue, which has always existed, between the two countries.
President Keita asked Messahel to convey to President of the Republic his fraternal salutations and sincere thanks for all the efforts to support stabilization in Mali as well as his wishes of happiness and progress to the Algerian people.
This meeting was held in the presence of Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs Tieman Hubert Coulibaly and the two countries’ ambassadors.
