CAIRO- Many Algerian business managers affirmed that they are further confident about their capacities to access foreign markets following their participation in the 1st Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2018),
held currently in Cairo, as well as in the specific exhibitions of the Algerian products organized this year in several countries.
Organized from 11 to 17 December, these national business managers participating in this fair said they are “confident” and “able” to access foreign markets notably the African, adding that the quality and price of their products could be as competitive as those of the western countries.
At the stand of a company that produces pasta and other agrifood products, its representative considers that the participation in this fair is a good opportunity to shed light on the quality of the Algerian products.
For him, the participation in these different economic events allowed noticing the “desire” of its products by these countries’ consumers: “our stand is always full in every exhibition abroad.”
For his part, the representative of an olive oil production company underlined that these exhibitions allowed establishing promising contacts.
In this regard, he called to continue organizing such fairs, as “direct contact allows identifying potential foreign partnerships and business opportunities.”
The representative of a plastic product company hoped the setting up of more facilities to help the producers to export their goods, pointing out that the current procedures remain “slow.”
He also called to redefine the role of the Export Promotion Fund (FSPE) in order to better support the companies wishing to develop their activities abroad.
