Coronavirus: Algeria has taken preventive measures before WHO’s instructions

ALGIERS- Algeria has taken preventive measures before the instructions given by the World Health Organization (WHO) to face the spread of the new coronavirus, welcomed Monday,
in Algiers, WHO’s representative in Algeria Dr. Nguessan Bla François.
“The Algerian State didn’t wait for WHO’s instructions and recommendations to preserve the health of the population from the risk of the outbreak of coronavirus,” said WHO’s representative to Algeria in a seminar organized by the General Directorate of the National Police (DGSN) on this flu that appeared in China.
“I can say and confirm that Algeria has set up a protection mechanism and preventive measures against possible outbreak of coronavirus cases before WHO’s recommendations to guard against the spread of the epidemic,” he underlined.
Concerning the African continent, Nguessan pointed out that “the epidemic is now only in China, and particularly in some provinces,” affirming that “no coronavirus case has been reported so far.”
For her part, representative of the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Dr. Samia Hamadi broached the preventive measures taken by Algeria and the national response strategy against possible outbreak of coronavirus cases.
