Bensalah signs 5 decrees, including 4 ratifying international agreements, MoUs

ALGIERS – Head of State, Abdelkader Bensalah signed on Sunday five presidential decrees, four of which ratify international cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding,
in accordance with article 91-9 of the Constitution, said a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.
Bensalah signed a Presidential Decree on the membership of Algeria to the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, adopted in Rotterdam on 10 September 1998.
He also signed a presidential decree ratifying the General Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of Algeria and the Government of Botswana signed in Algiers on May 26, 2014.
The Head of the State also signed a presidential decree ratifying the cooperation agreement between the Government of Algeria and the Government of Niger in the field of Information and Communication, signed in Niamey on March 16, 2017, and another one ratifying the memorandum of understanding of cooperation between the Algerian Government and the Government of Niger in the fields of labour, employment and social security, signed in Niamey on March 16, 2017.
The last presidential decree signed ratified the agreement between the Algerian Government and the Finnish Government on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, signed in Helsinki, January 11, 2019.
