Arkab holds discussions with Guinea Equatorial State Secretary for Mines and hydrocarbons

ALGIERS- Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab on Thursday received the Secretary of State for Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea, Santiago Mba Eneme Nsuga.
The two ministers examined cooperation between the two countries and prospects for their development in the field of energy, especially hydrocarbons (oil and gas), electricity and training.
They hailed the good level of cooperation between the two countries within multilateral organizations, like the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO).
The 5th GECF Summit, which will be held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea in November, was also at the centre of their discussions.
Arkab underlined Algeria’s active role in the activities of the Gas Research Institute, based in Algiers.
For his part, Santiago Mba Eneme Nsuga expressed hope to draw on Algeria’s experience and boost cooperation and partnership in the field of energy.
