(English) Arab Summit: President Tebboune extends invitation to Custodian of Two Holy Places of Islam

ALGIERS-In his capacity as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, the Minister of Justice, Abderrachid Tabi handed Monday in Riyadh a letter of invitation sent by President Tebboune to the Custodian
of the Two Holy Places of Islam, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to attend the Arab Summit scheduled for November in Algiers, said the Ministry in a statement.
“In his capacity as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Justice, Abderrachid Tabi handed over Monday in Riyadh the letter of invitation sent by the President of the Republic to his brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Places of Islam, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to take part in the 31st Arab Summit scheduled for 1-2 November in Algiers. The letter was handed over to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and member of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Adel Al-Jubeir,” said the source.
On this occasion, Tabi tasked Adel Al-Jubeir with “conveying the heartfelt fraternal greetings” of the President of the Republic to the Custodian of the Two Holy Places of Islam, stressing that “Algeria expects a qualitative and effective participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a brotherly country, in this important Arab event.”
For his part, “Adel Al-Jubeir welcomed the painstaking efforts spent by President Tebboune to make this Summit a gathering in the service of the joint Arab action, expressing the full readiness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve the unity of the Arab Nation,” said the source.
In addition, the two sides welcomed the “high level” of political relations between Algeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing the need “to deepen the consultation and dialogue between the two parties to raise bilateral cooperation to the level of the expectations of the leaders of the two countries, in the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.”
