ALGIERS- Algerian farm products are in the spotlight in Bordeaux on the occasion of “Algeria Days” organized in this French city from 10 to 13 October, said Wednesday the Ministry of Agriculture,
Rural Development and Fishing in a communiqué.
Organized at Bordeaux-Gironde Chamber of Trade and Industry, the event takes place as part of a partnership between Algeria’s consulate in Bordeaux, New Aquitaine region, Bordeaux’ town council and the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Bordeaux-Aquitaine.
On the occasion of this event, the Group of Algerian Public Companies for Farm Product Promotion (GVAPRO) will present several Algerian farm products.
As part of the development of the quality and diversity of national farm products, local products will be presented during the event such as olive products, dates, dried figs as well as other fruits and vegetables and their by-products, said the source.
An exhibition and a sale exhibition for national products will mark “Algeria Days” with the objective of “emphasizing the Algerian economic potential and promoting investments, notably in the sector of agriculture and food-processing industry,” said the ministry.
On the sidelines of this event, GVAPRO will take part in an economic meeting under the theme “Algeria-France: Investment and partnership opportunities,” said the source.
