ALGIERS- Algeria and Tunisia have developed successful counterterrorism cooperation, said Thursday in Algiers Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.
“Algeria and Tunisia have developed successful cooperation in the fight against terrorism,” said Essebsi following his discussions with President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, adding that “Algeria has adopted all necessary measures for the protection of borders.”
“Things are going as they should,” said the Tunisian president, adding that his country “has made significant progress in the fight against terrorism.”
Essebsi underlined the longstanding relations between Algeria and Tunisia, adding that his visit to Algeria was an opportunity to exchange views and examine the situation in the two countries.
The Tunisian president said that the discussions focused mainly on the regional and international situation, following the rapid and major changes that have occurred.
