Algeria firmly condemns despicable terrorist attack in Tunis

ALGIERS- Algeria has firmly condemned the despicable terrorist attack committed Tuesday, in Tunis, on a bus carrying presidential security guards, killing 12 people according to a provisional toll, said Tuesday evening Foreign Affairs Ministry in a communiqué.
“Algeria, which suffered from the throes of terrorism, is fully convinced that all the acts of terrors regardless of their ruthlessness, will not affect the brotherly Tunisian people’s determination to progress in the building of its democratic institutions and take up all the challenges mainly the challenge posed by the terrorism strange to our values and history,” said the source.
“Algeria, which shares with the Tunisian people’s determination to combat and face this atrocious scourge, offers its condolences to the victims’ families of this criminal and appalling act and expresses its unconditional solidarity with the Tunisian people and government,” added Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Following the attack, Tunisian President Béji Caïd Essebsi declared a thirty-day State of emergency in Tunisia and a curfew in the Grand Tunis from 9.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
