ALGIERS- Algeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue will hold a meeting Monday in Algiers, under the co-chairmanship of Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel and Brazil’s Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho.
The meeting will be held during the working visit of the Brazilian Foreign minister to Algeria, from 22 to 24 July, at the invitation of Messahel.
During this visit, the two Foreign ministers will examine means to strengthen existing cooperation and explore new investment opportunities and mutually beneficial partnerships.
The visit will be an opportunity for the two ministers to continue their consultation and coordination of the positions of both countries on international and regional issues of common interest at international fora.
The first meeting of Algeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue took place in Algiers in October 2015.
The agreement on its creation was signed during the 4th session of the Algerian-Brazilian joint commission, held in Brasilia on 19 July 2010.
In 2017, Brazil was among Algeria’s five major trading partners with US$2.08 billion (6% of Algeria’s overall exports), up by 28.7% compared to 2016.
