ALGIERS- The 5th South Korean Cultural Week will be held from 22 to 28 September in Algiers, where several activities are scheduled relating to gastronomy, culture, calligraphy,
music, cinema and sport, said Wednesday, in Algiers, South Korean ambassador to Algiers Lee Eun-Yung.
This edition’s kick-off will be given at the South Korean embassy where several gastronomic activities are scheduled to shed light on “the richness and diversity” of the South Korean kitchen.
The 5th Korean Language Contest will be organized on September 23 with the participation of Algerian students on themes related to “similarities and differences between Algerian and Korean cultures.”
On this Week’s third day, a classical music concert, which will be organized at Ibn Khaldoune movie theatre, will be livened up by Busan Youth Orchestra and conducted by maestro Lee Myung Kyun, presenting a “rich and varied” programme of the modern classical music, drawn from the Korean and European repertoires.
Several films will be screened on 25 September at Ibn Khaldoun movie theatre, including biographical film Anarchist From Colony” (2017), by Lee Joon-ik and “Detective Ka» directed by Kim Sok-yun (2015).
This week’s wrap up will see the organization of a taekwondo tournament at the sports hall “Hracha Hassan.”
