ALGIERS- The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House), Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, held talks Monday, in Algiers, with the President of the Economic and Social Council of Guinea, Rabiatou Serah Diallo, on the ways to reinforce bilateral cooperation, said the Lower House in a communiqué.
During this meeting, Ould Khelifa underlined “the importance to relaunch cooperation between the two countries, linked by history and good relations,” recalling that the Lower House “initiated the creation of a friendship group between the two countries,” added the source.
In the same regard, he said that Algeria “had always defended Algeria’s interests and works for its economic relaunch through investment in the continent’s resource and the training of its executives and elites in favour of security and stability.”
For her part, Diallo, who presented a general survey on the political life in her country, hailed “Algeria’s consistent position vis-à-vis just causes.”
She also hailed “President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s wise policy, based on dialogue and the non interference in the country’s internal affairs.”
While welcoming Algeria’s erasure of her country’s debt, the Guinean official underlined the need to “reinforce bilateral cooperation on the economic and commercial levels and to promote the channels for dialogue particularly regarding security issues.”
