LONDON- A memorandum of understanding will be signed shortly between Algiers Stock Exchange and the London City, said Friday, in London, Minister of Finance Abderrahmane Raouya.
The minister, who held talks Thursday with the officials and experts of the international finance at the headquarters of the prestigious London City, said in a short interview with APS that a memorandum with Algiers Stock Exchange will be signed “in the next few months” in Algiers.
The document will focus on the exchanges between the City and Algiers Stock Exchange and ways to allow the latter as well as Algerian companies to benefit from the expertise of the first financial institution in the world.
The signing of the memorandum will take place on the sidelines of a conference which will be organized in Algiers and to which representatives of the London City will take part. These representatives will make presentations on the activities of the world stock exchange.
Concerning the “Algerian-British Conference on financial services,” organized jointly by the London City and the British Department for International Trade, Raouya underlined that t allowed the Algerian delegation to gain knowledge of the British expertise in green finance and public-private partnership.
The Algerian side expressed a particular interest for public-private partnership, and it was agreed to organize a seminar in Algiers on the issue to which British experts will take part.
